A message from the California-Japan Sister Cities Network in partnership with the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco and the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles: Anyone involved in California-Japan sister city relationships is invited to the 2024 online workshop “Creative Engagement of Next Gen Leaders,” 5-7 pm on Wed, 6/12 via Zoom. The Long Beach-Yokkaichi Sister City Association will present on its unique and creative programs that engage young people. The invitation is transferrable. Please note the deadline to sign up is Mon, 6/10. RSVP here. Make sure to include your students and next gen leaders in your community!

このたび、カリフォルニアと⽇本の姉妹都市コミュニティーを対象としたオンラインワークショップ 「Creative Engagement of Next Gen Leaders ー クリエイティブな次世代エンゲージメント」が上記の通り開催され ます。 姉妹都市コミュニティーでは、サクセッションプランニングを課題とする団体が多く、いかに次世代リーダーをエン ゲージするかがカギとなっています。今回のワークショップでは、 四⽇市ーロングビーチ姉妹都市プログラムのユ ニークな成功事例のプレゼンテーションと、ブレイクアウトルームでのディスカッションなどを予定しています。全 体の進⾏は英語ですが、ブレイクアウトルームでは⽇本語のみのグループを選んでいただくことができます。参加ご希望の⽅は、⽇本時間6⽉11⽇午前9時までに、このフォームにご記⼊の上ご提出ください。該当しない質問 にはN/Aとご記⼊ください。 ⽇⽶の姉妹都市コミュニティーで集まって、アイディアやベストプラクティスを共有しましょう。皆様の参加をお待 ちしております。

From our friends at the Nichi Bei Foundation: “Join us for the 12th Northern California Soy and Tofu Festival, to be held on Sat, 6/22 at The Event Center at St. Mary's Cathedral, within walking distance of the Japantown Peace Plaza. There is free on-site parking, and a shuttle to and from the Peace Plaza so that you stay to shop in Japantown. afterwards. The event is FREE and open to the public.
