NEW DEADLINE: MONDAY, OCTOBER 14: KOHO invites you to be a vendor or community partner at DESTINATION NIHONMACHI, KOHO's Art and Culture Crawl, on Saturday, October 26, 2024 in Japantown. The event will take place along the Japantown merchant corridor on Post Street between Laguna and Webster.

At DESTINATION NIHONMACHI, a night in SF Japantown, is designed to bring a new audience to Japantown, support the merchant corridor and entrepreneurs with revenue opportunities, and provide an immersive experience of authenticity and discovery for our Japantown community, our displaced families, and visitors from San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Visitors will navigate Japantown to various pop-ups; Tokyo City Pop Social Club at the KOHO Creative Hub, go back in time to the “Harlem of the West” with live jazz 🎶 at the Kabuki Hotel, and shop vendors at the 🛍️ KOHO Ichiba (“market” in Japanese) in the Kinokuniya Mall while exploring all Japantown has to offer in between.

このイベントは、日本町で様々な店が軒を連ねるポスト通りのラグナ、ウェブスターの間で開催されます。サンフランシスコの日本町に新たな活気を呼び込み、地域の商店や起業家を応援することを目的としており、日本町コミュニティやサンフランシスコやベイエリアからの観光客のみなさんに、日本町の文化を深く体験できる場を提供します。

KOHOクリエイティブ・ハブで開催される東京シティ・ポップ・ソーシャルクラブ、歌舞伎ホテルで開催されるジャズライブ🎶「西のハーレム」にタイムスリップ、紀伊國屋モールで開催される「🛍️ KOHO市場」でお買い物を楽しむことができるなど盛りだくさんのイベントです！

Construction Update, October 2024

EAST Mall Entrance from Post Street – The current detour through center of Plaza remains through October. We will begin to use a temporary path that runs alongside the building in November.

WEST Mall Entrance from Post Street – The current path along building will be in place through October. A new detour through center of Plaza will begin in late October/early November. The current path alongside the building will resume again in late November/early December.

NIGHT WORK – Up to three days of night work are expected in October. Exact Dates will be forthcoming. Contractor will be obtaining permits, and then mailing and posting notices.

GARAGE WORK – Scaffolding will be placed around the pagoda in October and will remain in place through mid-2025. To prepare for the scaffolding, shoring (supports) will be installed directly beneath the scaffolding on both lower and upper garage levels starting October 7. Approximately 60 total parking spots will be blocked for the supports and temporary driving lanes. For your safety, please follow all posted signage, including posted detours.

WATERPROOFING – Waterproofing material will be installed on the plaza surface starting October 7 and running through end of November. During this time period we will be monitoring the roofing process, odors may occur, and we will work to address

改修工事の最新情報（2024年10月）

東館（Post Street側）入口:
現在、使用されているプラザの中央を通る迂回路は10月まで使用されます。11月からは、建物沿いの臨時通路を使用開始予定です。

西館（Post Street側）入口:
10月下旬までは現在の建物沿いの迂回路が使用されますが、10月下旬または11上旬にかけて、プラザの中央を通る迂回路に変更予定です。11月下旬から12上旬にかけて、建物沿いの迂回路に再度変更されます。

夜間作業:
10月に最大3日間の夜間作業が予定されています。具体的な日程は後日お知らせさせていただきます。請負業者は許可を取得しており、通知を郵送および掲示します。請負業者は、工事を行うために必要な許可を取得後、工事に関するお知らせを、周辺住民の方々などに郵送し、掲示板に掲示します。

駐車場作業:
10月に、パゴダの周囲に足場が設置され、2025年半ばまで設置される予定です。上下両階の駐車場の一部を閉鎖し、足場を支えるための支柱を設置します。これにより、約60台の駐車スペースがご利用できなくなります。皆様のご安全のため、掲示されているすべての標識や迂回路に従っていただくようお願いします。

防水工事:
10月7日から11月末までの間、プラザの表面に防水材の施工を行います。この工事期間中は、臭いが発生する場合がございます。ご不便をおかけしますが、ご理解とご協力をお願いいたします。臭いの状況は随時確認し、改善に努めてまいります。
