The tree’s long beautiful needles danced in the breeze as if soothing me and when I was depressed, they shook like pom-poms cheering me on…This is where this work, Soul of the City, really began.” ~ Brenda Wong Aoki, playwright.

Join Brenda Wong Aoki and First Voice in the world premiere of Soul of the City, an spectacular multimedia musical drama that combines traditional Japanese theater and music with contemporary spoken word and Asian American jazz. Performances are Sat, 9/30 and Sun, 10/1 @ 4 pm, at the Presidio Theater. Tickets available here.
