Join KOHO’s 3rd Annual BonPOP event, 2-6 pm, Saturday, August 31 at the Celebration Garden inside the San Francisco Botanical Gardens in Golden Gate Park. BonPOP is a reimagined Obon festival that celebrates Japanese culture and tradition through dance, song, and rituals. We expect a crowd of over 100 people to attend. This event itself is free but participants must pay an entrance fee of $17 to enter the Gardens or show evidence of San Francisco residency for free admission.

FINAL Obon practice (FREE): Wed 8/28 from 6:30-8 pm at the KOHO Co-Creative Hub located on the 2nd Floor of the Japan Center East Mall, above US Bank and Daiso.

KOHOの第3回ボンポップイベントへご参加ください!
8月31日（土）午後2時から6時まで、ゴールデンゲートパーク内のサンフランシスコ植物園のセレブレーションガーデンで開催されます。ボンポップは、ダンス、歌などを通じて日本文化と伝統を楽しめる、新たな形の盆踊りです。100人以上の方が参加予定です！このイベント自体は無料です。入園の際に17ドルの入場料が必要ですが、サンフランシスコに在住でそれを証明できるものを提示いただければ入場料は無料です。

お盆踊りの練習日程　

イベント当日に向けて、踊りの練習が行われます。下記日程が練習の最終日です！

The Japanese American Leadership Delegation (JALD) program provides the opportunity for a select group of Japanese American leaders from across the United States to travel to Japan to engage with Japanese leaders in the business, government, academic, non-profit and cultural sectors. The trip also allows Japanese leaders to gain a greater understanding of multicultural America through the experiences of a diverse group of Japanese Americans. Upon their return, delegates collaborate with JALD alumni, the local consulates, the U.S.-Japan Council and local and national community organizations to continue strengthening ties between the United States and Japan.
