Japantown Youth Navigators Paid Summer Program Applications Available

Deadline EXTENDED: Wed, 3/22, midnight.

The Japantown Cultural District seeks San Francisco high school students for this paid opportunity to engage in hospitality and entrepreneurship training while staffing a new Japantown Cultural District Visitor Center (location pending) beginning on Fri, 4/7, through the summer (5 days per week), fall (weekends), and year-end (5 days per week). The program will conclude on 1/15/24. Students who participate fully are expected to earn at least $4,000. Priority will be given to students in the Japantown/Western Addition/Fillmore neighborhoods. Please share this application with San Francisco high school students in your networks! 申し込み最終日が延長となりました！3月22日水曜日午前12時まで。日本町文化ディストリクト(略してJCD)は、サンフランシスコの高校生を対象に、ホスピタリティーとアントレプレナーシップのトレーニングを、新しい日本町ビジターセンターにて、スタッフとして働きながら行います。春、夏休み、冬までの（曜日は各期間異なります）プログラムとなりますが、実際に働きながら学べるプログラムです。また全期間働いた場合、最低$4000の収入を得ることができます。対象となる高校生は日本町・ウエストアディション・フィルモアの近郊地域に住んでいる高校生となります。申し込みに関しては上記リンクからどうぞ。質問はmbhnihei@japantowntaskforce.orgまでどうぞ

Join City Supervisors, agency officials, and community leaders at a press conference on the Japantown CHHESS. Please come out to show your support! Immediately following the press conference, we will head to the Board of Supervisors Public Safety & Neighborhood Services Committee which will make a recommendation to the full Board of Supervisors on adoption of the Japantown CHHESS. We invite you to make public comment of 2 minutes per individual. You can also call-in your support by following directions available here. We need you! YBCA100・一般アーティスト100が選出されるリストで、このイベントは2014年から始まり、国内外のアーティストを含んでいます。今年は地元であるベイエリアの個人、団体を中心に決定されました。

Mon, 3/20: Board of Supervisors Hearing on proposed Texas “Alien Land Law”

The Texas legislature is considering a ban on immigrants owning Texas real estate in what appear to be “alien land laws” like those that prohibited Asian Americans from owning land in the early 20th century and were later deemed unconstitutional. Local API civil rights organizations join national organizations in strong opposition. Public comment (2 minutes per individual) can be provided in-person or remotely.
