Tickets to the Chines New Year Parade are SOLDOUT. Rather than be a spectator, be a parade marcher instead! We Are One, an inter-faith multi-racial community coalition, invites YOU to march for the third year in the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024! Seeking dancers, musicians, and other folks to join in the parade. Register here. The parade starts off at 2nd and Market Streets, goes around Union Square and ends at Kearny Street & Columbus Ave. The distance of the parade route is approximately 1.3 miles. Practices are at the Chinatown YMCA, 855 Sacramento Street, San Francisco. ALL ARE WELCOME!

WELCOME TO THE 13TH ANNUAL FILMS OF REMEMBRANCE

Films of Remembrance is the premier showcase of films commemorating the forced incarceration of Japanese Americans in American concentration camps during World War II. This year, we once again offer films in three venues — the AMC Kabuki 8 theater in San Francisco’s Japantown on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin in San Jose’s Japantown on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, and virtually from Saturday, Feb. 24 through Sunday, March 10, 2024. The Arts Impact Endowment, which typically receives between $1 and $3 million per year, is supported by the annual hotel tax revenues dedicated to supporting arts and culture in our City.  By mandate, the San Francisco Arts Commission must develop an allocation plan to guide the distribution of these funds every five years, with community input.
