TONIGHT! Join this annual family-focused event to celebrate HALLOWEEN at The Center, 1840 Sutter.

During these troubled times, please join us during APEC Week in San Francisco, 11/12 - 11/18 when heads of state and senior officials of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum will gather in San Francisco. An estimated 30,000 people, including 100 members of the media from all over the world are expected to visit our City that week.

As part of the week’s work towards global economic peace, the Japantown Cultural District, the Japan Society of Northern California, and the United Nations Association of San Francisco are presenting a very special screening of “Paper Lanterns,” a moving documentary about atomic bomb survivor Shigeaki Mori’s quest to locate the families of the 12 American prisoners of war who perished in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Join us on Mon, 11/13, 5 - 7:30 pm, at the historic Herbst Theater where the United Nations Charter was signed. Suggested donation: $15. Students, seniors, veterans are free. 11月12日ー11月18日にサンフランシスコで開催されるAPEC　WeekにAPECの代表の方々 が集まります。凡そ30,000人（記者の方々約１００人も含め)がサンフランシスコにいらっしゃる見込みです。世界的経済平に向けての取り組みとしてJapantown Cultural District, the Japan Society of Northern California, and the United Nations Association of San Francisco は“Paper Lanterns,”という広島原生還者Shigeaki Moriが原爆でいなくなった１２人のアメリカ人捕虜の家族を捜索する物語を記録したドキュメンタリーを放映します。11月13日（月曜日）午後17:30〜19:30、国際連合憲章が署名された歴史あるハープスト劇場にて。１５ドルの寄付を目安とします。学生、シニア、ベテラン/退役軍人は無料です。チケットの数は限られておりますので事前予約を！予約はこちらから。このイベントを支援したいと思う方はこちらから寄付できます。

Message from the Cherry Blossom Festival Board of Directors: Have you ever wondered what it takes to bring California's largest Cherry Blossom Festival to life? Well, wonder no more! We are currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our staff committee and be part of this incredible event.

Join us for a special evening as the Japantown Task Force collaborates with Dear Community! We're eager to hear from young adults, shoppers, professionals, and anyone passionate about Japantown's future. Come discuss the Osaka Way Upgrade project, review conceptual designs provided by the Department of Public Works, and share your insights at the newly opened Fermentation Lab! Seating is limited. Message from KOHO: Join us at noon on Sat, 11/4 as Love Talkin’ spins Tokyo City Pop on the Plaza, get your holiday shopping started with some of our favorite vendors, and stay for three films, all produced by stakeholders in our community, focused on the Japanese American experience today: the influences of historical trauma, resilience and strength of generations, and the search for cultural identity in purpose, place and community. RSVP! The first 50 participants to RSVP will get a little gift if present at the festival. More info and to RSVP here.
