Join us for a celebration of a new mural honoring the legacy of the legendary events and concert producer Bill Graham on Mon, 11/6, beginning at 12N. Post Street will be closed to traffic between Fillmore and Steiner for a community resources fair. The Arts Commission will be conducting outreach on grant opportunities for San Francisco-based artists and arts organizations. This is a free event, open to the public.

During these troubled times, please join us during APEC Week in San Francisco, 11/12-11/18 when heads of state and senior officials of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum will gather in San Francisco. An estimated 30,000 people, including 1,000 members of the media from all over the world are expected to visit our City that week. As part of the week’s work towards global economic peace, the Japantown Cultural District, the Japan Society of Northern California, and the United Nations Association of San Francisco are presenting a very special screening of “Paper Lanterns,” a moving documentary about atomic bomb survivor Shigeaki Mori’s quest to locate the families of the 12 American prisoners of war who perished in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Join us on Mon, 11/13, 5-7:30 pm, at the historic Herbst Theater where the United Nations Charter was signed. Suggested donation: $15. Students, seniors, veterans are free.
