A message from Nihonmachi Little Friends: Nihonmachi Little Friends is thrilled to extend a heartfelt invitation as we commemorate 49 years of transformative service to the community. The celebration will take place on Friday, November 22, from 5:00-7:00 pm, at our Historic 1830 Sutter Site. Guests will enjoy delicious sushi prepared by chef Nori Sasaki in addition to a variety of other delectable dishes and desserts.  Sake tasting will be provided by Todd Eng of Sake Trend and Jason Mikami of Mikami Wines will provide tastings of his latest wines. Join us for the 19th Annual Rainbow World Fund World Tree of Hope Celebration LIVE at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, 6:30-8 pm, Monday, 12/9, in an enduring partnership between Linda Mihara of Paper Tree and RWF Board Member Karen Kai with the Rainbow World Fund, the world’s first all-volunteer LGBTQ+-based humanitarian aid organization founded in 2000. About the Tree: “The Rainbow World Fund (RWF) World Tree of Hope ® is the largest origami decorated holiday tree in the world, traditionally standing over 23 feet tall and decorated with over 17,000 origami cranes and stars each hand folded and inscribed with wishes for the future of the world. In 2024, due to time restrictions we will create a 15 foot tall tree decorated with over 10,000 origami cranes and stars in the AIDS Memorial Chapel of Grace Cathedral. The RWF World Tree of Hope is created each year as a symbol of global unity to promote peace, love and humanitarianism. The Tree is created by Rainbow World Fund as a gift from the LGBTQ and friends community to the world. The Tree will be displayed at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco from December 1, 2024 to January 4, 2025. This year mark’s the 19th anniversary of the Tree.”

サンフランシスコのグレース大聖堂で、12月9日（月）午後6時30分～8時に開催されます。このイベントは、ペーパー・ツリーのリンダ・ミハラさんとRWF（レインボー・ワールド・ファンド）の理事であるカレン・カイさんの長年のパートナーシップのもと行われます。RWFは、2000年に設立された世界初のLGBTQ+を基盤にしたボランティア活動団体です。
参加費は無料です。ツリー点灯式のご参加をご希望の際はこちらからご登録ください。

【ツリーについて】
「レインボー・ワールド・ファンド（RWF）の『世界の希望の木』®は、世界最大の折り紙で飾られたホリデーツリーで、例年23フィート以上の高さがあり、17,000以上の折り紙の鶴や星で飾られています。それぞれに未来への願いが込められています。2024年は時間の制約により、高さ15フィートのツリーが作られ、10,000以上の折り紙の鶴や星で飾られます。ツリーは、グレース大聖堂のエイズ記念チャペルに展示されます。『世界の希望の木』は、世界中の平和、愛、人道主義を促進するシンボルとして毎年作られています。このツリーは、LGBTQ+コミュニティとその友人たちから世界への贈り物として作られます。ツリーは2024年12月1日から2025年1月4日までサンフランシスコのグレース大聖堂で展示されます。今年はツリーの19周年を迎えます。」
